Seacom Process Instruments Sdn Bhd supplies Vaisala dew point transmitters and probes in Malaysia for compressed air, industrial dryers, dry gases and controlled production environments. Our team can help you select the measurement range, process connection and output needed for your installation.
A fixed dew point transmitter provides a continuous measurement signal for a compatible controller, display or monitoring system. Choose the instrument around your required dryness and process conditions, then confirm how the signal will be used for indication, trending or configured alarms.
Select a Dew Point Transmitter by Application
Refrigerated dryers:Vaisala DMT132 for dryer-outlet dew point measurement with a two-wire 4–20 mA signal.
Compact dryers and OEM equipment:Vaisala DMT143 and DMT143L for installations needing a compact transmitter, with configuration selected for the required range and output.
Ultra-dry air and suitable industrial gases:Vaisala DMT153 for applications requiring calibrated dew/frost point measurement down to −80 °C Td/f.
Pressurised pipelines:Vaisala DMP8 with an adjustable insertion arrangement and process fittings selected for the line.
Tight installation spaces:Vaisala DMP7 for a compact probe installation.
Dry rooms:Vaisala DMP1 for wall-mounted measurement in low-humidity environments.
Hot industrial drying processes: review Vaisala DMP5 or DMP6 against the actual gas temperature and installation requirements.
Match the Sensor and Output to Your System
Confirm the operating dew point and required accuracy before comparing models. A refrigerated dryer and an ultra-dry gas process need different measurement performance. Also specify gas composition, pressure, temperature and whether the sensor will be fitted directly into the process or installed in a sampling arrangement.
The probe, transmitter and display are not always one device. Where a selected probe needs an additional transmitter for the required display or output, include that equipment in the selection. State whether your receiving system needs 4–20 mA, a voltage signal, Modbus or another interface so the complete configuration can be checked.
Replacing an Existing Dew Point Transmitter?
Send the existing model and order code, a photograph of its label, the output settings and the process connection. A replacement should be checked against the installation as well as the required measurement range.
For an existing DMT152, review the DMT153 configuration. For other older instruments listed in this category, use their product pages to identify the replacement direction and confirm the details with Seacom before ordering.
Dew Point Measurement Guides
Choosing a dew point instrument depends on whether you need permanent monitoring or portable checking, the dryer or process type, operating pressure and the target dew point. Use the comparison below as a starting point before selecting the instrument.
Application
Portable or Fixed
Pressure / Installation
Target Dew Point
Recommended Instrument
Refrigerated air dryer
Fixed
Dryer outlet; up to 20 bar depending on installation
A permanent transmitter is normally preferred when the process needs continuous measurement, alarms, control-system integration or long-term trending. Portable measurement is more suitable for maintenance, commissioning, troubleshooting and checking several measurement points with one instrument.
Requirement
Recommended Approach
Continuous dryer monitoring
Fixed dew point transmitter
Permanent alarm or PLC/BMS signal
Fixed dew point transmitter
Check several dryers or air lines
Portable dew point meter
Verify an installed transmitter
Portable reference instrument
Commissioning or troubleshooting
Portable measurement, followed by permanent monitoring where required
