The Vaisala DMT152 provides accurate dew-point measurement down to −80 °C Td/f for ultra-dry industrial and OEM applications. This model is discontinued and has been replaced by the Vaisala DMT153.
Product status: Vaisala is discontinuing the DMT152 and states that it should not be specified for new projects. The Vaisala DMT153 is the official successor, retaining the same core measurement range and DRYCAP® 180U sensor while adding current connectivity and service tools.
The Vaisala DRYCAP® DMT152 was developed for very-low-dew-point measurement in semiconductor and battery manufacturing, plastics and compressed-air dryers, glove boxes, dry chambers, pure-gas systems, additive manufacturing and other moisture-sensitive processes.
Its compact stainless-steel construction supports direct process installation or use with a sampling cell. The sensor tolerates temporary condensation and provides stable performance in demanding combinations of low humidity and elevated gas temperature.

Not a direct wiring swap: DMT153 replaces the DMT152 functionally, but its M12 connector, wiring, output-mode logic, available process threads and handheld platform differ. Check the complete installed DMT152 order code and receiving system before ordering a replacement.
Explore the Vaisala DMT153 replacement
DMT152 installations may measure directly at process pressure or through a sampling cell. Retaining the same measurement location does not automatically guarantee the same performance after replacement: check leaks, tubing material, sample flow, pressure reduction, isolation method and the time required for the system to reach equilibrium.
Ultra-dry measurements are particularly sensitive to ambient-air ingress and moisture released from sampling tubes. Use clean stainless-steel tubing, minimise joints and dead volumes, and locate the measurement point as close to the process as practical.
For an operating DMT152, retain its manuals, calibration records, order code, output scaling and wiring documentation. Continued service, calibration and remaining product availability should be checked for the individual unit and application.
Do not change a working installation solely because the product has entered discontinuation. Plan the migration according to maintenance risk, spare availability, calibration schedule, shutdown access and the importance of the measurement to production.
Seacom Process Instruments supports existing Vaisala DMT152 installations in Malaysia and supplies the current Vaisala DMT153 replacement for battery production, semiconductor manufacturing, pure-gas systems, compressed air, plastics drying, glove boxes and other ultra-dry applications.
Our team can assist with product-status checks, order-code review, output and wiring comparison, process connections, sampling cells, Indigo integration, Indigo80 portable use and calibration planning.
Contact Seacom with the existing DMT152 model code, process conditions, required outputs, connection details and receiving-system configuration so we can assess a suitable DMT153 migration arrangement.
