Electromagnetic Flowmeter FT-3000

ONICON's FT-3000 Series family of Inline Electromagnetic Flow Meters are suitable for measuring electrically conductive liquids in a wide variety of commercial HVAC applications. The FT-3000 series provides analog and digital outputs for flow rate and programmable pulse outputs for flow totalization and/or alarms.

The FT-3000 Inline Electromagnetic Flow Meters are available in various sizes and arrive factory-configured for ease of installation and start-up. All FT-3000 series flow meters are wet calibrated in a flow laboratory against standards that are directly traceable to international standards. A certificate of calibration accompanies every meter. Typical applications include monitoring of cooling water, heating water, condenser water and domestic water.

SPI Magnetic Flowmeter

Electromagnetic flow meters detect flow by using Faraday's Law of induction.

Inside an electromagnetic flow meter, there is an electromagnetic coil that generates a magnetic field, and electrodes that capture electromotive force(voltage). Due to this, although it may appear as if there is nothing inside the flow pipe of an electromagnetic flow meter, flow can be measured.

SPI Oval Gear Flowmeter

Oval gear flowmeters are categorised as positive displacement flow technology. When liquid flows through this type of positive displacement flowmeter, two oval geared rotors measure a constant volume per rotation within a precisely machined measuring chamber.

With each rotation, a constant volume of liquid is measured. The rotation of the oval gears is sensed via magnets embedded within the rotors. These magnets transmit a high resolution pulse output. The output signal can be process externally via a remote display controller or PLC or via a variety of output/display options available as accessories attached to the flowmeters.

The positive displacement flow technology allows for precise flow measurement of most clean liquids regardless of the media conductivity. Other liquid properties also have a minimal effect on the performance of this type of meter. Flow profile conditioning is not required as with alternative flow technology options making oval gear installations simple to install in tight spaces and at an economical price.
