Hyoda AY Series Waterproof Bimetal Thermometers

The Hyoda AY Series provides local temperature indication using a bimetal sensing element and a dial mounted at the sensing stem. Its stainless steel exterior and IP65 enclosure suit installations requiring a protected mechanical temperature display.

Choose AY4 or AY5 for a standard head arrangement, or AY4-QS or AY5-QS when an adjustable viewing angle helps make the dial easier to read. Specify the temperature scale, stem dimensions and connection to suit the measurement point.

Stem, material and accuracy options depend on the selected configuration; confirm the complete specification before ordering. Choosing the Right AY Thermometer

  • Viewing position: check whether a standard head can be read easily after installation or whether a QS adjustable head is more practical.
  • Dial size: choose 100 or 125 mm according to available space and reading distance.
  • Temperature scale: provide the normal operating range and expected extremes.
  • Stem and connection: confirm insertion length, stem diameter, mounting thread and any existing thermowell dimensions.
  • Process conditions: specify the medium, pressure and material requirements so the installation can be checked.
  • Remote indication or switching: consider the fluid-filled alternatives below if the dial must be separated from the sensing point or electrical contacts are required.
