The Sato 7610-20 is a traditional brass aneroid barometer with an integrated glass thermometer for local atmospheric-pressure and temperature observation.
The Sato 7610-20 combines an aneroid pressure mechanism and a glass thermometer in a traditional circular brass instrument. It provides an immediate local indication of atmospheric pressure and temperature without wiring, batteries, software or an external display.
The movable index pointer can be aligned with the current pressure reading. The live pointer's later position relative to the index gives a simple visual indication of whether atmospheric pressure has risen or fallen.
Current product: Sato continues to list model 7610-20 as a current dial barometer. Calibration is available, while JCSS accredited calibration is not available for this model.
| Measurement | Range | Minimum graduation | Accuracy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Atmospheric pressure | 930 to 1070 hPa | 1 hPa | ±1 hPa from 980 to 1020 hPa; ±3 hPa outside that range |
| Atmospheric pressure | 700 to 800 mmHg | 1 mmHg | Read from the corresponding analogue scale |
| Temperature | −10 to +50 °C | 1 °C | ±2 °C |
The best specified pressure accuracy applies between 980 and 1020 hPa. Apply the ±3 hPa specification when readings fall outside this central range.

| Application | Why it fits | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|
| General meteorological observation | Wide, easy-to-read pressure dial with a movable reference pointer | No automatic pressure trend, alarm or data logging |
| Laboratory ambient display | Shows pressure and temperature locally without power | Confirm that the stated accuracy meets the laboratory procedure |
| Educational demonstration | Visible mechanical dial helps explain atmospheric-pressure changes | Not a pressure generator or electronic reference standard |
| Office, reception or study | Functional instrument with traditional brass construction | Install away from heat sources, sunlight and strong airflow |
| Locations without electrical supply | Both pressure and temperature indications operate without power | Readings must be recorded manually |
The barometer senses actual atmospheric pressure at its installation elevation. Weather reports commonly present pressure corrected to sea level, so the local dial reading may differ from a published weather value even when both are correct.
Installation limit: Sato specifies the 7610-20 for use up to 500 m altitude. At approximately 50 m above sea level, the manufacturer's manual illustrates a sea-level correction of roughly 6 hPa. Apply the appropriate local procedure if a sea-level-equivalent value is required.

Calibration is available for the Sato 7610-20, but JCSS accredited calibration is not. Confirm the required certificate, pressure points, temperature points and acceptance criteria before ordering a calibration service.
Periodically inspect the pointers, dial, glass thermometer, brass case and wall mounting. Where readings support documented quality decisions, compare the instrument against a suitable calibrated reference and retain the results.
Seacom Process Instruments supplies the Sato 7610-20 aneroid barometer with glass thermometer for laboratories, educational facilities, offices, environmental observation and other indoor applications in Malaysia and international markets.
Our team can help confirm the expected local pressure, installation elevation, temperature range, calibration requirements and whether a local analogue instrument or electronic pressure transmitter is more suitable.
Is the 7610-20 suitable for your location? Send us the installation location, elevation, expected pressure and temperature ranges, calibration requirement and whether you need only local indication or also require remote output and logging.
