Hyoda Liquid-Filled Thermometers and Temperature Controllers

Hyoda fluid-filled thermometers provide temperature indication and optional switching for industrial applications.

  • Liquid-filled and gas-filled configurations, depending on model.
  • Remote sensing arrangements with a bulb and capillary tube.
  • Indication-only, pointer-contact and microswitch options.
  • Model-specific dial sizes, mounting arrangements and enclosure protection.

Select the temperature scale, sensing arrangement and contact requirements to suit your installation.

Hyoda Liquid-Filled Thermometers and Temperature Controllers

Hyoda fluid-filled thermometers provide temperature indication and, in selected configurations, electrical contacts for alarm or control circuits. The range includes liquid-filled and gas-filled instruments, with different mounting arrangements, sensing bulbs and temperature scales.

Use this overview to compare the main Hyoda options available through Seacom. Start with whether you need temperature indication, switching, or both, then select the instrument and sensing arrangement for your installation.

Main Instrument Options

  • Remote dial thermometers: a sensing bulb and capillary allow the display to be positioned separately from the measurement point.
  • Contact-equipped instruments: selected models provide pointer contacts or microswitches for a compatible electrical circuit.
  • Direct-mounted alternatives: consider a stem-mounted instrument where the dial can be read at the measurement point.
  • Enclosure options: select protection according to the actual model and installation environment.

Liquid-Filled, Gas-Filled or Bimetal?

These terms describe different sensing arrangements. M Series and S6 instruments offer liquid-filled and gas-filled configurations; AY uses a bimetal element. A similar dial appearance does not make the instruments interchangeable.

For M Series and S6, published family coverage extends from −70 to 400°C for liquid-filled versions and −200 to 600°C for gas-filled versions. These are family limits: each instrument is ordered with a particular scale and configuration.

The Fluid-Filled Thermometer Range is an overview listing, not a single model with one specification. Compare the exact model, temperature scale, sensing bulb, connection and mounting before ordering. S6 and M6 both have 150 mm dials, but this does not establish interchangeability.

Information Needed for Selection

Selection detailWhat to provide
Temperature Normal operating temperature, minimum and maximum, and required scale.
Installation Local or remote reading, mounting space and preferred dial size.
Sensing point Measured medium, bulb or stem dimensions, insertion length and process connection.
Existing thermowell Internal bore, usable depth and connection details.
Capillary Required routing length and protection from mechanical damage.
Switching Number of contacts, setpoints and electrical load.
Environment Indoor or outdoor use, water exposure, vibration and any hazardous-area requirements.

For replacement work, compare the complete configuration rather than the dial size alone. Confirm mounting dimensions, sensing bulb fit, capillary routing and contact compatibility before ordering.
