The sensing-tip temperature range does not define the allowable temperature of the grip, cable or connector. Confirm the complete configuration before ordering.

BTN references identify spare needles, not complete probes. Match the needle to the existing assembly and thermocouple type rather than selecting by temperature range alone. Abbreviated BT references require the appropriate cable and connector suffixes.

Selecting Your BT Probe

  • Material: Describe the sample and its firmness so the needle design can be assessed.
  • Insertion depth: State the depth of the required measurement point and any restrictions on probe diameter.
  • Temperature: Provide the normal, minimum and maximum temperatures.
  • Replacement needs: Specify whether you need a complete probe, a replaceable-needle assembly or spare BTN needles.
  • Instrument: Provide your thermometer or logger model to check the input type and connector.
