The Sato Sigma II NSII-Q is a traditional paper thermohygrograph for locations where staff need an immediate visual record of temperature and humidity. Two independent pens trace the changing conditions on a rotating cylindrical chart, making excursions and daily patterns easy to recognise during routine inspection.
Unlike an electronic data logger, the NSII-Q does not require software, a network connection or data downloading. It is well suited to facilities that require a straightforward local chart, provided that personnel replace and archive the paper and inspect the recorder regularly.

The chart speed must match the paper period. After changing the speed switch, fit the corresponding chart and mark its start date, start time, instrument identity and monitoring location.

For regulated monitoring: a paper thermohygrograph does not by itself provide user access control, audit trails, automated alarms or electronic-record controls. Confirm your quality-system and regulatory requirements before selecting it as the official monitoring record.
Inspect the chart drive, pen arms, cartridge pens, sensing elements, batteries and enclosure during routine maintenance. Replace weak batteries and dry or skipping pens before they cause gaps in the record. Dust should be removed carefully without bending the recording arms or damaging the humidity-sensing bundle.
Check temperature and humidity readings periodically against suitable references. Calibration frequency should reflect the required accuracy, operating environment, usage history and quality procedure. Record as-found results before making any mechanical adjustment.
