Sato SK-L400T 4-Channel Temperature Data Logger

The Sato SK-L400T measures and records temperature from up to four Type K thermocouple probes, with all four readings shown on a large backlit display.

Sato SK-L400T 4-Channel Temperature Data Logger

The Sato SK-L400T records temperature from up to four Type K thermocouple probes and displays all four channels together. It provides a practical way to compare temperatures at different points during equipment checks, heating and cooling trials, and process investigations.

Select probes for the actual measurement task, whether air, liquids, semi-solid materials or stationary surfaces. The logger and probe must be considered together when choosing the measuring range and accuracy.

Recording and Data Analysis

Use the SD card to transfer recorded data to a computer. Sato’s 4ch DATALOGGER for Windows software provides graph display, maximum/minimum/average calculations, integrated temperature calculations and marker tools. CSV data can also be reviewed using spreadsheet software.

Download the current software from Sato and confirm compatibility with your computer before purchase. The published English documentation lists Windows versions through Windows 10; Windows 11 support should be checked separately.

The following models retain the probe selection shown on the Seacom page. Temperature ratings apply to the specified sensing section, not automatically to its handle, cable or connector. Confirm chemical compatibility, immersion depth and mounting requirements for your application.

Thermocouple Junction Cable

The existing Seacom selection also includes a junction cable with 1 m of vinyl-coated, 0.32 mm thermocouple wire. Confirm its temperature limits, polarity and connector arrangement before ordering.

Accessories and Setup

Sato currently lists an 8 GB SD card, four AA alkaline batteries and an instruction manual with the main unit. A carrying case appears in the leaflet; confirm the supplied package when ordering. The analysis software is available as a download.

The dedicated AC adapter is optional. Specify an adapter suitable for the local mains supply; the Japanese 8191-90 adapter listing specifies 100 VAC input.

  • Long recordings: choose the recording interval, storage arrangement and power source before starting.
  • Extended thermocouple wiring: check cable resistance and connector compatibility; the logger’s permitted signal-source resistance is 200 Ω or less.
  • Surface measurements: maintain consistent contact and account for the specified surface-probe error allowance.
  • Calibration: specify the channels, probes and calibration points required with your enquiry.
