The Isuzu TH27R paper temperature and humidity recorder has been discontinued and is no longer recommended for new installations. Seacom continues to support existing instruments with selected chart papers and recording pens.
The Isuzu TH27R is a quartz thermohygrograph that records temperature and relative humidity continuously on a cylindrical paper chart. It has been used in warehouses, laboratories, production areas, museums, archives and other locations where staff require a visible local record without software or network infrastructure.
The complete TH27R recorder is discontinued. Seacom can still assist owners of existing units with selected replacement chart papers and recording pens, subject to confirmation of the recorder, chart range, recording period and existing consumable reference.
Product status: do not specify the TH27R for a new installation. For a new paper thermohygrograph, consider the Sato Sigma II NSII-Q. It is the closest practical substitute, but it is not a direct drop-in replacement and uses different chart papers.

The Sato Sigma II is the closest substitute because it provides the same basic function: local temperature and humidity measurement recorded on a visible paper chart. However, its physical dimensions, temperature ranges, chart periods, pens and chart papers differ from those of the TH27R.
A replacement paper recorder remains useful when operators want an immediate visible trace and simple local operation. An electronic data logger may be more suitable when the application requires searchable records, automatic reports, remote access, alarm notification or integration with a monitoring system.
| Requirement | Recommended direction |
|---|---|
| Visible local paper history | Sato Sigma II NSII-Q |
| Standalone electronic temperature and humidity records | Select a suitable electronic data logger with the required software and probe range |
| Remote alarms and central reporting | Vaisala viewLinc Continuous Monitoring System |
| Existing serviceable TH27R | Continue using it with correctly matched charts and pens, subject to calibration and condition |
Seacom Process Instruments continues to supply selected Isuzu TH27R chart papers and recording pens in Malaysia for customers maintaining existing thermohygrographs. Availability and compatibility are confirmed against the recorder and existing consumable details.
For new paper-recorder installations, Seacom supplies the Sato Sigma II NSII-Q thermohygrograph. Our team can help compare the required temperature range, chart period, recording method and documentation needs before recommending a replacement.
Need TH27R consumables or a replacement recorder? Send us the recorder nameplate, existing chart number, chart period, printed range and photographs of the old pens. We will check the suitable consumables or Sato replacement direction.
