Choosing a Transit Logger or Recorder

  • Transit period: allow for collection, storage, customs clearance and delivery delays when selecting the recording duration.
  • Temperature coverage: choose a range that covers the expected shipment conditions and possible excursions.
  • Placement: agree where the recorder will travel within the load. The recorded temperature reflects conditions at that location, not necessarily the temperature inside every product.
  • Traceability: record the serial number alongside the shipment reference and activation details.
  • Receiving procedure: ensure the receiving team knows how to retrieve and retain the paper chart or electronic report.
