The Vaisala DL2000 combines precision temperature and relative-humidity monitoring with optional analog or door-contact inputs for viewLinc systems.
The Vaisala DL2000 combines stable internal temperature and relative-humidity measurement with autonomous data recording. Selected models also provide an analog input for another transmitter or Boolean inputs for door switches and alarm contacts.
This combination allows one logger to monitor room conditions together with parameters such as differential pressure, CO₂, level, conductivity or door status. Measurements are stored at the point of measurement, protecting the record during network or mains-power interruptions.
Connected to the Vaisala viewLinc Continuous Monitoring System, the DL2000 provides historical and real-time data, remote alarms and controlled reporting. It can also be used with Vaisala vLog for validation, graphing and reporting.

| Network connection | RS-232 with optional USB, Ethernet, PoE or Wi-Fi interface | Native Ethernet and Power over Ethernet with battery backup |
| Migration requirement | Existing systems may remain in service | Probe range, input type, cabling, network and viewLinc compatibility must be checked |
| Legacy Model | Channels | Typical Use |
|---|---|---|
| 2000-20R | Internal temperature and relative humidity | Rooms, warehouses, laboratories and chambers |
| 2000-3CR | Temperature, RH and 4–20 mA input | Environmental monitoring with one current-output transmitter |
| 2000-35R | Temperature, RH and 0–5 V DC input | Environmental monitoring with one 0–5 V transmitter |

| Measurement | Specification |
|---|---|
| Calibrated temperature range | −25 to +70 °C |
| Temperature operating range | −35 to +85 °C |
| Initial temperature accuracy | ±0.10 °C from +20 to +30 °C; ±0.20 °C from −25 to +70 °C |
| Temperature resolution | 0.02 °C at +25 °C |
| Humidity operating range | 0–100% RH, non-condensing |
| Initial RH accuracy | ±1% RH from 10–80% RH at +20 to +30 °C; wider-range accuracy depends on humidity and temperature |
| Humidity resolution | 0.05% RH |
| Input | Range | Accuracy at +25 °C |
|---|---|---|
| Current | 0–22 mA measurement range; configured for a 4–20 mA transmitter | ±0.15% of full scale |
| Voltage | 0–5 V DC or 0–10 V DC, depending on model | ±0.15% of full scale |
| Boolean | Open or closed dry contact | Status input |
The analog channel can be scaled in engineering units so viewLinc displays and alarms on the actual process value rather than the raw current or voltage signal.
| Connection or Software | Purpose |
|---|---|
| RS-232 | Native local serial connection |
| USB | Direct computer connection using the appropriate interface cable |
| Ethernet or PoE | Network connection using the Vaisala vNet interface |
