The EDL CRYO-CAL-2-LI uses liquid nitrogen cooling for comparison calibration of compatible temperature sensors.
The EDL CRYO-CAL-2-LI provides a low-temperature source for comparison calibration of compatible temperature sensors from −196°C to 0°C. Liquid nitrogen provides the cooling, while a controlled heater establishes the required calibration temperature.
Previously described on this page as CRYO-CAL-2, the current EDL product is listed as CRYO-CAL-2-LI. Confirm the full model and power configuration when ordering or replacing an existing unit.
A reference thermometer and the sensors under test are placed in the calibration block. Once conditions have stabilised, their readings are compared at the selected temperature points. The reference instrument, sensor positioning, immersion and measurement procedure all contribute to the result.
The cryostat supplies the thermal environment; its controller indication should not automatically be treated as the calibration reference.

Stability describes temperature change over time; uniformity describes temperature differences within the working region. Neither figure represents the complete calibration uncertainty. Performance should be assessed under the specified operating conditions.
Check both the sensor diameter and usable stem length before choosing tubes or inserts. Confirm the position of the sensing element within the block and the probe's suitability for cryogenic temperatures. Custom configurations can be discussed where the standard arrangement is unsuitable.
For a Malaysian installation, specify the required 240 V configuration and confirm the electrical connection. The calibration setup also requires a suitable liquid-nitrogen supply and reference measurement system.
