Watanabe WSPF Series Plug-In Signal Converters

The Watanabe WSPF Series provides signal isolation and conversion for measurement and control applications. Select a model for DC signals, transmitter loops, thermocouples, RTDs or potentiometers, with one or two outputs according to the application.

The plug-in construction allows the converter to be removed from its socket for maintenance. Before selection, match the complete input, output and power specification to the connected equipment.

These are model families, not complete order codes. Confirm the permitted input range, output range and supply option for the selected model. Two-output models serve two receiving devices from the same measured input.

Choosing the Converter Function

  • DC signal isolation: use an isolator when the task is to separate and condition an existing measurement signal.
  • Fast-changing signals: assess the DE or DEW against the response required by the complete measurement system.
  • Transmitter loops: check the DBZ or DBZW when the transmitter also requires a suitable loop supply.
  • Temperature: match THS/THW to the thermocouple type, or RTS/RTW to the RTD type and wiring.
  • Position feedback: match MS/MSW to the potentiometer and its resistance specification.
