The Vaisala HMX110 Series provides accurate humidity and temperature measurement for demanding indoor, duct and outdoor HVAC applications.
The Vaisala HUMICAP® HMX110 Series provides accurate and stable humidity and temperature measurement for demanding HVAC and building-automation applications. It offers greater accuracy, stronger environmental protection and traceable calibration documentation than the cost-effective HMDW80 Series.
The family includes HMW110 wall transmitters, HMD110 duct transmitters and HMS110 outdoor transmitters. It also includes temperature-only wall, duct and immersion models for projects that use the same enclosure and integration platform across different measurement points.
The humidity models measure 0–100% RH with accuracy up to ±2% RH from 0–90% RH within the specified central temperature range. Temperature is measured from −40 to +60 °C with accuracy up to ±0.2 °C at +20 °C.
Each transmitter is individually adjusted and supplied with a traceable calibration certificate. Vaisala HUMICAP® 180R and chemically resistant HUMICAP® 180V sensor options are available according to the measurement environment.
The HMDW110 Series can be ordered with two-wire 4–20 mA outputs or separately powered RS-485 communication using Modbus RTU. Configurable 110 models support customer-specific output settings, calculated humidity parameters and special analog scaling.
Humidity models can provide relative humidity, temperature, dew point, wet-bulb temperature and enthalpy. Optional displays provide local indication, while Vaisala Insight PC software supports configuration, diagnostics and calibration.
The 112 humidity models are preconfigured for standard current outputs. The configurable 110 models can be ordered with customer-specific analog scaling, calculated parameters or Modbus RTU functionality.

Model-number guide: choose an 112 humidity model for standard preconfigured 4–20 mA outputs. Choose a configurable 110 model for Modbus RTU, calculated humidity parameters or special current-output scaling. Select HMW for walls, HMD for ducts, HMS for outdoors, or a T-model when only temperature is required.
These Vaisala HVAC transmitter families serve different measurement and control requirements. Choose according to accuracy, mounting location, communication method, calibration documentation and whether carbon-dioxide measurement is required.

Quick selection: choose the 80 Series for routine HVAC where cost and mounting flexibility are the priorities. Choose the 110 Series when better accuracy and a traceable certificate are required for wall, duct or outdoor measurement. Choose HMW90 for premium indoor wall measurement. Choose XMW85 for indoor Modbus systems, especially when CO₂ must be measured with humidity and temperature.
Before ordering, confirm the mounting location, measured parameters, humidity and temperature range, 4–20 mA or Modbus RTU interface, display requirement, calculated parameter, special scaling, sensor type and calibration requirements.
For Modbus projects, also provide the controller communication settings and network arrangement. For analog models, confirm the power supply, loop resistance, controller input range and required output scaling.
