The Vaisala HMT140 Wi-Fi Data Logger has been discontinued and is no longer recommended for new monitoring systems.
The HMT140 was a battery-powered Wi-Fi data logger for use with the Vaisala viewLinc Continuous Monitoring System. Depending on the model, it could measure relative humidity, temperature, RTD inputs, voltage, current or Boolean contacts.
This page remains available to help existing users identify installed HMT140 models, maintain operating systems and plan migration to current Vaisala monitoring hardware.
| Existing HMT140 Application | Recommended Direction |
|---|---|
| Temperature and relative humidity | RFL100 with AP10 |
| Refrigerator, freezer or cold-room temperature | RFL100 with a suitable temperature probe |
| CO₂, temperature and humidity | RFL100 with compatible probes and AP10 |
| Voltage, current or Boolean input | Application review required; a VDL200 or another viewLinc-compatible interface may be more suitable |
The RFL100 uses Vaisala VaiNet rather than the HMT140’s direct Wi-Fi connection. Each installation therefore requires an AP10 Access Point and a check of wireless coverage, probe compatibility and viewLinc version.
