The compact Vaisala HM40 Series provides reliable humidity and temperature spot checks for HVAC, construction, warehouses, laboratories, museums and industrial applications.
The Vaisala HUMICAP HM40 Series is a family of compact handheld humidity and temperature meters designed for quick inspections, environmental spot checks and field verification.
Four probe configurations are available for different measurement locations. The HM41 is the general-purpose model, the HM42 uses a thin probe for narrow spaces, the HM45 provides a remote probe with a handle, and the rugged HM46 uses a long stainless-steel probe for ducts, demanding locations and short-term high-temperature measurement.
All HM40 models measure relative humidity and temperature and calculate dew point, wet-bulb temperature, absolute humidity, mixing ratio and enthalpy. Numerical, statistical and graphical views help users confirm that measurements have stabilised before saving a reading.

The HM40 provides an independent portable reference for investigating indoor conditions and checking installed HVAC sensors.
Humidity and temperature affect the drying of concrete, coatings, paint, adhesives and flooring systems. The HM40 supports environmental spot checking during construction and renovation.
The HM40 measures air humidity at the probe location. A complete structural-moisture assessment must follow the appropriate measurement method, required equilibration time and applicable construction standard.
The HM40 probe and indicator can be sent to an authorised service facility for calibration. Users can also perform an on-site one-point or two-point adjustment using an appropriate humidity reference.
