Ryutai Kogyo PGH, GPB, GPC & AMF Purge and Panel Flowmeters

Ryutai Kogyo PGH, GPB, GPC and AMF purge and panel flowmeters provide local flow indication for equipment and test systems.

  • PGH: compact glass tube meter for small flows.
  • GPB and GPC: glass tube panel meters with different flow capacities.
  • AMF: lightweight acrylic tube panel meter.
  • Choose the series, calibrated range and configuration to match the application.

Ryutai Kogyo PGH, GPB, GPC & AMF Purge and Panel Flowmeters

The Ryutai Kogyo PGH is a compact glass-tube variable-area flowmeter for small liquid and gas flows. Panel mounting suits laboratory equipment and test systems.

Compare PGH with the GPB, GPC and AMF panel flowmeters to select a suitable construction and flow scale for your equipment. Each series is specified separately; they are not interchangeable model names.

Compare the Series

SeriesTubeStandard connectionSelection focus
PGH Glass Rc ¼ Small flows
GPB Glass Rc ⅜ Panel measurement
GPC Glass Rc ½ Higher flows than GPB
AMF Acrylic Rc ⅜ Lightweight panel installation

Water Flow Range Comparison

SeriesWater-equivalent scales, L/h
PGH Smallest 0.1–1; largest 10–100
GPB Smallest 10–100; largest 40–400
GPC Smallest 40–400; largest 120–1200
AMF 30–300; 50–500; 90–900; 120–1200

These are separate calibrated ranges. Select a scale for the actual fluid and operating conditions; one meter does not cover the whole series span.

PGH Features

  • Direct flow indication with a 10:1 measuring range.
  • Upper, lower or dual needle-valve configurations.
  • Optional stand, hose nipples and constant-differential-pressure valve.

PGH Specifications

SpecificationPGH
Water-equivalent ranges Smallest: 0.1–1 L/h; largest: 10–100 L/h
Air-equivalent ranges Smallest: 2–20; largest: 250–2500 L/h (ntp)
Accuracy ±5% full scale
Standard connections Rc ¼-inch
Maximum pressure 1 MPa gauge at 60°C; 0.6 MPa gauge at 100°C
Fluid temperature 0–100°C, subject to gasket selection
Ambient temperature −10–60°C
Body / tube SUS304 / heat-resistant glass

Select one calibrated range; these endpoints do not describe a single meter's span. Liquid specifications require 1.0 mPa·s viscosity. Air reference conditions are 0°C and 1 atm, with operating conditions of 20°C and 1 atm.

GPB and GPC Glass Tube Panel Flowmeters

GPB and GPC use a mirror behind the tube to assist float reading. Selected configurations offer stands, needle valves, constant-differential-pressure valves and alarm outputs.

AMF Acrylic Tube Panel Flowmeter

AMF accuracy is ±5% full scale. Maximum working pressure is 0.4 MPa gauge; temperature is 0–50°C, with continuous use limited to 40°C. Alarm contacts are not available.

Preparing Your Enquiry

  • Measurement: specify the fluid, minimum and normal flow, maximum flow and preferred units.
  • Conditions: provide inlet and outlet pressures and operating temperature. For gases, identify the reference conditions for the flow units.
  • Installation: provide the panel opening, available space, connection thread and tubing arrangement.
  • Functions: explain whether you need local indication, manual adjustment or a signal to other equipment.

Seacom can compare these requirements with the individual series specifications before proposing a configuration.

Replacing a PGF Purge Meter

PGH succeeds the discontinued PGF series. Ryutai specifies mounting compatibility, but confirm the complete configuration before replacement. See the earlier PGF-N reference page.
