Ryutai Kogyo GTF, ATF, GTV and ATV variable area flowmeters provide direct visual indication of compatible liquid and gas flow.
The Ryutai Kogyo GTF, ATF, GTV and ATV Series provide direct visual indication of liquid or gas flow in a vertical pipeline. A float moves inside a transparent tapered tube, allowing the instantaneous flow rate to be read against the calibrated scale.
GTF and GTV use glass measuring tubes; ATF and ATV use acrylic measuring tubes. GTV and ATV provide PVC connection options for compatible piping systems. Choose the series, construction and scale to suit the fluid, operating conditions and pipe connection.
| Series | Measuring tube | Connection construction | Selection focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| GTF | Glass | Metal connection options | General process installations |
| ATF | Acrylic | Metal connection options | Normal-temperature applications |
| GTV | Glass | PVC-U; selected PVC-C configurations | Compatible chemical and pure-water piping |
| ATV | Acrylic | PVC-U | Compatible PVC piping at normal temperatures |

These are series-level selection details. Confirm the complete meter specification before ordering; ratings for one construction must not be applied to another.
GTF offers glass-tube flow indication with a choice of wetted materials, float designs and pipe connections. Suitable configurations accommodate higher fluid temperatures than the acrylic-tube ATF.
ATF provides local flow indication for compatible fluids at normal temperatures. Its acrylic tube and available larger sizes offer an alternative where the fluid, pressure and temperature suit this construction.
The illustrations show example configurations. Confirm dimensions, materials and options against the specification for the meter being supplied.
GTV combines a glass tube with PVC-U connections, rated 0–50°C. Selected PVC-C versions are rated 0–70°C. ATV combines an acrylic tube with PVC-U connections, rated 0–40°C.

Both offer ±2% full-scale accuracy, nominal 10:1 ranges and standard JIS 10K FF flanges. Working pressure depends on size and construction. Check all wetted materials, including seals, for chemical compatibility.
Ryutai identifies GTV with the earlier GTF PVC-connection version, and ATV with the earlier ATF PVC-connection version. These designations do not replace all GTF/ATF models. Confirm the complete order code and dimensions for replacements.
The following values are the maximum working pressures listed for the metal-flange series configurations. They are gauge pressures and do not override any lower limit imposed by the selected materials or operating conditions.
| Series | Nominal size | Maximum working pressure |
|---|---|---|
| GTF | 10A, 15A, 20A | 1.0 MPa gauge / 10 bar gauge |
| GTF | 25A | 0.8 MPa gauge / 8 bar gauge |
| GTF | 40A, 50A | 0.6 MPa gauge / 6 bar gauge |
| GTF | 65A, 80A | 0.4 MPa gauge / 4 bar gauge |
| ATF | 15A, 20A, 25A | 0.4 MPa gauge / 4 bar gauge |
| ATF | 40A, 50A, 65A, 80A | 0.5 MPa gauge / 5 bar gauge |
| ATF | 100A | 0.4 MPa gauge / 4 bar gauge |
| ATF | 125A | 0.3 MPa gauge / 3 bar gauge |
| ATF | 150A | 0.2 MPa gauge / 2 bar gauge |
A single meter is calibrated for a specified fluid and measuring range. The overall series coverage must not be treated as the measuring range of every meter.
Install the meter vertically in the specified flow direction and support the pipework to avoid strain on the measuring tube. Account for pressure surges and material compatibility. Acrylic tubes require particular care where solvents or cleaning chemicals may be present.
Contact Seacom with the fluid, flow range, operating pressure and temperature, pipe size and connection standard. For a replacement, include photographs of the existing meter, its scale and model marking so we can check the appropriate GTF, ATF, GTV or ATV configuration.
