Helping People Measure the Right Thing Since 1986
Seacom Process Instruments Sdn Bhd has been working with measurement instruments since 1986. From our offices in Subang Jaya and Penang, we support engineers, maintenance teams, consultants, contractors and end users throughout Malaysia.
Most customers do not come to us with a complete model number. They come with an application: oil that needs to be measured, a cleanroom that must remain within limits, a compressed-air system with a moisture problem, or a process temperature that is difficult to capture accurately.
That is where our work begins.
Start with the measurement, not the catalogue
Tell us what you need to measure, the operating conditions and what you need from the reading. We will help you narrow down a practical instrument, probe, output and installation arrangement.
We Start by Understanding the Application
A specification sheet can tell you a measuring range and an accuracy figure. It cannot tell you whether the sensor will fit the pipe, survive the temperature, respond quickly enough or communicate with the system already on site.
Before recommending a product, we normally ask about the medium, expected range, operating pressure and temperature, process connection, installation location, required output and how the measurement will be used. These details often make the difference between an instrument that merely looks suitable and one that works properly in the field.
Sometimes the answer is a straightforward meter. Sometimes it involves a probe, transmitter, mounting accessory, communication interface, software and calibration plan. Our role is to help join those pieces together.
Where We Spend Most of Our Time
Process and liquid flow
We work with oil, diesel, fuel oil, crude palm oil, water, chemicals, compressed air and other industrial fluids. Selection may involve flow range, viscosity, pressure, temperature, pipe size, material compatibility, local indication and pulse or analogue outputs. Explore flow measurement
Humidity, temperature and controlled environments
Cleanrooms, production areas, laboratories, warehouses, HVAC systems, air-handling units and data centres all require different measurement arrangements. We help customers select instruments for humidity, temperature, carbon dioxide and differential pressure, from simple transmitters to more complete monitoring systems. Explore humidity measurement Explore temperature measurement
Dew point and dry-process measurement
Compressed air, nitrogen, glove boxes, dry rooms, dryers, ovens and process gases can operate across very different dew-point ranges. We help determine whether the application needs a fixed probe, transmitter, sampling arrangement or portable meter. Explore dew-point measurement
Continuous environmental monitoring
For pharmaceutical, semiconductor, healthcare, laboratory, warehouse and other controlled facilities, the instrument is only one part of the system. Monitoring-point location, communications, alarm handling, data integrity, reporting, calibration and validation requirements must be considered together. Explore continuous monitoring systems
Pressure, moisture and process gases
Our range also covers barometric and process pressure, moisture in oil, carbon dioxide and selected process-gas measurements. We focus on instruments used for process control and environmental measurement; personnel-safety gas detection requires a purpose-designed safety system. What Working With Seacom Looks Like
- You tell us the application. Share the measurement, operating conditions, preferred output and any site limitations.
- We work through the details. We check the range, accuracy, materials, connections, response, communications and installation requirements.
- We recommend a workable arrangement. This may include the instrument, probe, transmitter, accessories, software and calibration requirements.
- We support the project after delivery. Depending on the product and scope, this can include configuration, installation guidance, commissioning, troubleshooting and calibration planning.
We will also tell you when more information is needed. It is better to clarify an uncertain process condition before ordering than to discover it during installation.
Specialist Brands, Chosen for Real Applications
Seacom works with established measurement manufacturers rather than trying to make one product range fit every job.
| Brand | Where we commonly use it |
|---|---|
| Tokico | Positive-displacement flowmeters for diesel, fuel oil, lubricating oil, palm oil and other compatible industrial liquids |
| Vaisala | Humidity, dew point, carbon dioxide, pressure, moisture-in-oil measurement and continuous environmental monitoring |
| Anritsu Meter | Contact temperature measurement, specialised probes, portable thermometers and multi-channel temperature logging |
| Sato | Temperature and humidity meters, data loggers, chart recorders and environmental measurement instruments |
Our wider range includes additional specialist manufacturers for flow, weather, pressure, signal conditioning, recorders and industrial measurement accessories. Browse all brands
Support That Continues After the Order
Process instruments often stay in service for many years. Drawings change, staff move on and production requirements evolve. When a customer returns with an old model, an existing installation or a new measurement point, we try to understand what is already there before proposing the next step.
That continuity matters. It helps when replacing discontinued instruments, extending a monitoring system, finding compatible accessories or planning calibration without disrupting the process unnecessarily.
We do not promise that every problem has a quick answer. We do promise to look at the application carefully and give a clear recommendation based on the information available.
Local Team, Wider Coverage
Our Kuala Lumpur office is in Subang Jaya, with a second office in Bayan Lepas, Penang and representation for the southern region. We support customers throughout Peninsular and East Malaysia, while selected products and projects are also supplied outside Malaysia.
Whether you are planning a new project, replacing an old instrument or trying to solve a measurement that has never worked quite properly, send us the details. A photo, process sketch, datasheet or existing model number is often a useful place to start.
Have a Measurement to Discuss?
Tell us what you are measuring, the expected range, operating conditions, installation point and required output. Our team will help you work through the available options.
