Vaisala WXT530 Series Multi-Parameter Weather Transmitter

Vaisala WXT530 Series Weather Transmitter

The compact Vaisala WXT530 Series measures wind, precipitation, barometric pressure, air temperature and relative humidity in selectable combinations for industrial and environmental weather monitoring.

  • Choose one to six essential weather parameters
  • Ultrasonic wind and acoustic precipitation measurement
  • No moving parts and low maintenance requirements
  • Modbus RTU, SDI-12, ASCII and NMEA communication options

Vaisala WXT530 Compact Multi-Parameter Weather Transmitter

The Vaisala WXT530 Series is a compact family of solid-state weather transmitters for measuring wind speed, wind direction, liquid precipitation, barometric pressure, air temperature and relative humidity. Six model combinations allow users to purchase only the weather parameters required by the application.

Unlike a conventional automatic weather station assembled from several separate sensors, the WXT530 integrates the selected measurements into one lightweight instrument. Its solid-state design has no moving wind or rain-measurement parts, helping reduce mechanical wear, routine maintenance and installation complexity.

The fully equipped WXT536 measures all six parameters. Other models provide dedicated rain, wind, pressure-temperature-humidity, or combined measurement packages.

Why Choose the Vaisala WXT530 Series?

  • Selectable Measurement Package: Choose the WXT531, WXT532, WXT533, WXT534, WXT535 or WXT536 according to the parameters required.
  • Six Essential Weather Parameters: The complete WXT536 measures air pressure, air temperature, relative humidity, precipitation, wind speed and wind direction.
  • No Moving Parts: Ultrasonic wind and acoustic precipitation technologies avoid rotating cups, vanes and tipping mechanisms.
  • Low Maintenance: Solid-state sensors and a compact enclosure support dependable unattended operation.
  • Flexible Integration: Digital interfaces include RS-232, RS-485, RS-422 and SDI-12, with Modbus RTU, ASCII and NMEA protocol options.
  • Industrial Wind Output: The WXT532 can be configured with 0–20 mA or 4–20 mA outputs for wind speed and direction.
  • Expandable Weather Hub: WXT536 analog inputs can accept compatible external solar-radiation, temperature, voltage or tipping-bucket sensors.
  • Outdoor Protection: Rated IP65 without the mounting kit and IP66 when installed with the specified mounting kit.
  • Low Power Consumption: Suitable for remote and solar-powered installations when the complete power system is correctly designed.
